1 Fill a clean test tube to the line with 5 ml of water sample.
2 Add 1 drop of PetLifeEliteR AlkalinityTestKitTM vertically at a time, and record the total number of drops added. After each drop, cap the tube securely and shake well.
3 Continue until the solution turns from BLUE to YELLOW. For accurate color observation remove the cap, place the tube against a white background, and observe from directly above.
4 Match the number of drops added to the provided chart to determine alkalinity levels.

2 Add 10 drops of ReefLifeEliteR CalciumTestKitTM Reagent #1 vertically.
3 Cap the test tube and shake well for 10 seconds.
4 Tighten ReefLifeEliteR CalciumTestKitTM Reagent #2 cap to prevent leaks, invert ReefLifeEliteR CalciumTestKitTM Reagent #2 and shake it vigorously up and down to allow proper mixing for 10 seconds
5 Add ReefLifeEliteR CalciumTestKitTM Reagent #2 vertically, capping and shaking well after each drop. Count the number of drops added until the solution turns from PINK to BLUE.

NOTE : During the transition, the color will first shift from pink to purple. At the purple stage, typically just 1-2 additional drops are needed to achieve a stable blue endpoint.

Multiply the total drops of ReefLifeEliteR CalciumTestKitTM Reagent #2 used by 21.5 ppm to determine Calcium concentration.
